On special occasions it is important to choose a particular place that can hit the atmosphere of the evening. In some cases, however, these places are discovered by chance, just like it happened to me last weekend. I was having lunch at the restaurant Dunne & Crescenzi and wonder if one of the waiters if I can say that was the kind of restaurant Nonna Valentina, which is part of the same chain of restaurants in the Dunne & Crescenzi.
The waiter, very politely explained to me that is a great place and that the style changes dramatically compared to the room where we were. I called it a bit "posh" or something more elegant and really like Martha because yesterday we made our second anniversary together.
said than done, I called the number 01 454 9866, marked on the nameplate of the restaurant and I booked for Wednesday 12 at 19:30.
Nonna Valentina is located in the Portobello Road, south of Dublin to the numbers 1-2, and is an Italian restaurant as the name suggests wants to recreate the familiar surroundings and at the same time elegant. The lights dimmed in the evening, the windows that overlook the canal full of swans and courteous staff, ready to take our coats, suggest the best ways to hand coats and accompanying output are the elements that make the evening even more special.
The cost of dinner amounted to a medium-high, with a wine list quite varied and can take an aperitif such as a Bellini or the most famous Spritz.
Despite the low quality photos taken with the phone at night and no lights flash, I assure you that the dinner was great.

- A bottle of Falanghina
- A plate of noodles with seafood
- A plate of taglionini with cuttlefish and shellfish
- A dessert: a triptych of panna cotta, tiramisu and vanilla ice cream alal
